Sylvester Ohene Quarde, son of Sarah Ann Sackett, was born in Streatham, LondonG, in November 1904.1,2 He died aged 76 in Friern Barnet, LondonG, on 30 September 19813,4 and was buried at Newham, LondonG, on 9 October 1981.5
     In 1911 Sylvester was living at 6a Avenue Park Road, West Norwood, LondonG, in the household of his mother Sarah Ann Wilkes, and was recorded in the census as Sylvester Quarde, aged six and born in Streatham.6
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939, Sylvester was an inmate at the Friern Hospital, New Southgate, MiddlesexG.7
