     In 1891 Charles was living at 3 Rumsey Road, LambethG, in the household of his parents Thomas and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Charles W Wilkes, aged two and born in Lambeth.2
     In 1901 he was living at 151 Stockwell Park Road, LambethG, in the household of his widowed mother Sarah, and was recorded as Charles W Wilkes, aged twelve and born in Brixton.3
