James H Morgan, son of Joseph Morgan and Aner Sackett, was born in OhioG in September 1864.1,2 He died aged about 92 in Tipp City, Miami County, OhioG, on 10 September 1956 and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp CityG.2 He married Elizabeth J Garwood, daughter of Joseph Garwood and Leuticia Vaughan. Elizabeth was born in Montgomery County, OhioG, on 2 November 1861.2 She died aged 91 in Tipp City, Miami County, OhioG, on 7 December 1952 and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp CityG.2
In 1870 James was living in Staunton, Miami County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Joseph and Aner, and was recorded in the census as James Morgan, aged six and born in Ohio.3
In 1880 James was living in Washington, Preble CountyG, in the household of his parents Joseph and Aner, and was recorded in the census as James H Morgan, aged 16 and born in Ohio.4
In 1900 he was living in Piqua, Miami County, OhioG, and was recorded as James Morgan, a motorman, head of household, aged 35. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Lizzie, 38, and their children, Ruth, 5, Clara, 2, and Marian, aged one.5
In 1910 he was living in Elizabeth, Miami County, OhioG, and was recorded as James Morgan, a farmer, head of household, aged 45. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 48, and their children, Clara, 12, Marian, 10, Grace, 9, and Luman, aged five.6
