Philip Martin Sackett, son of Leroy Sylvester Sackett and Lillian Quinn, was born in Tarentum, Allegheny County, PennsylvaniaG, on 18 December 1922. He died aged 49 on 29 May 1972 and was buried at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, PennsylvaniaG.1,2,3 He married in Allegheny CountyG on 18 July 1945, Marcella Stella Brassart, daughter of Marcel Brassart and Martha M Plouchard.4 Philip and Marcella were divorced sometime before 9 December 1964 when Marcella married second in Los Angeles, CaliforniaG, Edward W Graham.5 Marcella was born in Coraopolis, Allegheny County, PennsylvaniaG, on 20 September 1925 and died aged 64 on 16 January 1990.6
     In 1930 Philip was living at Locust Street, Harrison, Allegheny CountyG, in the household of his parents Leroy and Lillian, and was recorded in the census as Phillip Sackett, aged six and born in Pennsylvania.7
     Philip served during the Second World War as a Corporal in the 49th Fighter Squadron, 14th Fighter Group, of the US Air Force, entering service on 18 August 1941 and being released on 9 July 1945.2,3
     Philip completed a World War II draft registration card in 1945. He was aged 23 and was living in TarentumG.8
