Benjamin Shakett/Sackett, son of Moses Shakett/Sackett and Lena Bowman, was born in Whitechapel, London, EnglandG, in 1879.1 He died in Houston, Harris County, TexasG, on 23 May 1954.
Benjamin immigrated to the United States with his parents, arriving in New York CityG from Rotterdam, Netherlands, on 15 December 1879 on the SS Maas.2
In 1880 Benjamin was living at Hester Street, New York CityG, in the household of his parents Moses and Leah, and was recorded in the census as Benjamin Shachett, aged two and born in England.3
Benjamin was listed in the Dallas, Texas, City Directory in 1905 and 1906. He was living with his mother Lena and working in her retail business as a clerk.4
