Charles Greenwood/Sackett, son of William Greenwood/Sackett and Sarah Savage, was born in Fulham, LondonG, on 23 February 1886.1,2,3 He died there aged 66 in 1952.4 He married Catherine Maud Stanley.5 Catherine was born on 31 May 1888.2
Charles's marriage was recorded at the General Register Office in the names of both Greenwood and Sackett. His marriage certificate named him as William Greenwood "commonly known as Sackett."6
In 1891 Charles was living at 23 Hannell Road, Fulham, LondonG, in the household of his parents William and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Chas Sackett, a scholar, aged five and born in Fulham.7
In 1901 Charles was living at 20 Werley Avenue, Fulham, LondonG, with his parents William and Sarah in the household of his uncle John Sackett. He was recorded as Charles Greenwood, a coal porter, aged 15 and born in Fulham.8
In 1911 he was living at 41 Church Path, Lillie Road, Fulham, LondonG, in the household of his parents William and Sarah, and was recorded as Charles Greenwood, a coalman carman, married, aged 25.9
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Charles and Catherine were living at Garvan Road, Fulham, LondonG. Charles was a labourer. Their son Frederick was living with them.10
