Willis Webster Sackett, son of Mert Sellwyn Sackett and Cora Lulu Franklin, was born in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, IllinoisG, on 26 June 1925.1,2 He died aged 85 in Hemet, Riverside County, CaliforniaG, on 14 May 20113 and was buried at Riverside National CemeteryG.2,4 He married in Las Vegas, Clark County, NevadaG, on 11 September 1971, Marion Jean Reid.5 They divorced in Los Angeles, CaliforniaG, in August 1974.6 He married in Los AngelesG on 7 June 1975, Patricia J Millraney.7 Patricia was born in about 1944.8
     In 1930 Willis was living in New Salem, Pike County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents Mert and Cora, and was recorded in the census as Willis W Sackett, aged four and born in Illinois.9
     Willis served as a sergeant in the US Army from 1950 to 1953, participating in the Korean War.10
