William Syers, son of David Alexander Syers and Louisa Sackett, was born in OhioG in about 1844.1
     In 1850 William was living in Clarksfield, Huron County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Alexander and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as William Syres, aged six and born in Ohio.2
     In 1860 he was living in Jamestown, Ottawa County, MichiganG, in the household of his parents Alexander and Louisa, and was recorded as William Sayers, a day laborer, aged 16.3
