Oscar Charles Sackett, son of John Sackett and Mary Elizabeth Smith, was born in New York CityG in April 1873.1 He married in about 1894, Anna Cecilia Marsh.1 Anna was born in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York StateG, on 23 December 1873.2 She died aged 71 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York StateG, on 14 December 1945.2
     In 1900 Oscar was living in Brooklyn, New York City, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as Charles O Sackett, a stevedore, head of household, aged 27. Living with him were his wife Anna, 26, and their children, Vincent, 2, and Harold, aged one.3
     Oscar/Charles and Anna separated sometime before 1910.
     In 1910 Anna was living at Hicks Street, Brooklyn, New York City, New York StateG, and was recorded as Anna C Sackett, a lodging house keeper, head of household, separated, aged 35. Living with her were her children, Vincent, 12, Harold, 11, Genevieve, 9, and Consuelo, aged seven.4
     In 1920 Anna was living at Fifth Avenue, BrooklynG, and was recorded as Anna C Sackett, head of household, a widow aged 40. She rented her home. Living with her were her children, Harold, 21, Genevieve, 19, and Consuelo, aged 17.5
