     In 1910 he was living in StanfordG in the household of his parents Smith and Mary, and was recorded as William Sackett, aged 14 and born in New York State.4
     William completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was aged 21 and was living at Millbrook, Dutchess County, New York StateG. He was employed as a farm hand.5
