Casper Verle Sackett, son of John Allen Sackett and Effie Janet Key, was born in IowaG in May 1897.1 He died aged about 77 in 1974.2 He married Lydia Emma Westerhoff.
In 1900 Casper was living in Valley Township, Guthrie County, IowaG, in the household of his father John and stepmother Marguerite, and was recorded in the census as Casper V Sackett, aged three and born in Iowa.3
In 1930 he was living at Pierce Street, Sioux City, Woodbury County, IowaG, and was recorded as Casper Sackett, an auto supplies salesman, head of household, aged 31. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Lydia, 30, and their children, Robert, 7, Betty, 4, and Jack, aged two.4
