Samuel Cook, son of John Cook and Ann Sackett, was born in Ash next Sandwich, KentG, in 1821 and baptized at St Nicholas, Ash next SandwichG, on 22 February 1821.1
     In 1851 Samuel was living in Ash next SandwichG in the household of his widowed mother Ann, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Cook, single, aged 28.2
