Lucinda Pogue, daughter of Preston Patrick Pogue and Aner Sackett, was born in Fletcher, Miami County, OhioG, on 7 February 1847.1 She died aged 81 in Adams County, IndianaG, on 2 March 1928 and was buried at Backesto Cemetery, Berne, Adams CountyG.2 She married in Miami County, OhioG, on 11 February 1872, John "Red" Elzey, son of William Elzey and Sarah Ann Andrews.3 John was born in Adams County, IndianaG, on 18 March 18434 and died there on 24 December 1914.4
In 1850 Lucinda was living at Sugar Creek, Greene County, OhioG, in the household of her parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded in the census as Lucinda Pogue, aged three and born in Ohio.5
In 1860 she was living in Brown, Miami CountyG, in the household of her parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded as Lucinda Pogue, aged twelve.6
In 1870 she was living in Brown, Miami CountyG, in the household of her parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded as Lucinda Pogue, aged 23.7
