Joseph Pogue, son of Preston Patrick Pogue and Aner Sackett, was born in Lumberville, Bucks County, PennsylvaniaG, on 9 January 18421 and died aged 61 in Adams County, IndianaG, on 29 May 1903.1
     In 1850 Joseph was living at Sugar Creek, Greene County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded in the census as Jasper [sic] Pogue, aged eight and born in Ohio.2
     In 1860 he was living in Brown, Miami CountyG, in the household of his parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded as Joseph Pogue, a farm laborer, aged 17.3
