Florrie Alberta Robertson, daughter of John Adam Robertson and Ada Eliza Sackett, was born in Grays Inn Lane, LondonG, on 8 February 1895.1 She was baptized at St Jude's Church, Grays Inn Road, LondonG, on 10 February 1897.2
     In 1911 Florrie was living at 56B Ufford Street, Waterloo, Lambeth, LondonG, in the household of her widowed mother Ada, and was recorded in the census as Florrie A Robertson, a learner and messenger in a theatrical costume and boot manufacturing business, aged 16 and born at Grays Inn Lane.3
