Florence Mabel Lawrence, daughter of Shrubsole Lawrence Jr and Mercy Hogbin, was born in Margate, KentG, in 1878.1,2 She died aged 73 in Bridge, KentG, in 1951.3 She married in Thanet, KentG, in 1902, George Noah Feavearyear.4,5
     In 1881 Florence was living at 50 High Street, MargateG, in the household of her parents Shrubsole and Mercy, and was recorded in the census as Florence M Lawrence, aged two and born in Margate.6
     In 1891 she was living at 50 High Street, MargateG, in the household of her parents Shrubsole and Mercy, and was recorded as Frances Mary [sic] Lawrence, aged 12 and born in Margate.7
     In 1901 she was living at 3 Clarence Villas, Connaught Road, MargateG, in the household of her parents Shrubsole and Mercy, and was recorded as Florence M Lawrence, a music teacher, aged 22 and born in Margate.8
     In 1911 she was living at 13 Police Quarrters, Chattenden, Rochester, KentG, in the household of her husband George, 41, a police constable, and was recorded as Florence Mabel Feavearyear, aged 32 and born in Margate. Living with them was their daughter Florence Mercy, aged three.9

    [The names Herbert, for Henry, and Frances Mary, for Florence Mabel, are puzzling. They may have been an enumeration error, or perhaps the family weree experimenting with preferred names. There is little doubt that these were the children of Shrubsole and Mercy Lawrence.]
