John LeRoy Sackett, son of Samuel Arthur Sackett and Mary Peterson, was born in Brigham City, Box Elder County, UtahG, on 16 January 1882.1,2 He died aged 64 in Weber County, UtahG, on 29 June 1946.1 He married Violet Higley. Violet was born in Brigham CityG in about 1884.3
     In 1910 John's wife Violet, aged 25, was living at 2nd East 1st North, Brigham City, Box Elder County, UtahG, with her children Clifford, 3, and Ruth, aged one month.4
     John completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 36 and was a self-employed farmer at Black Pine, Idaho. He was living at Snowville, Box Elder County, UtahG, with his wife Violet.5
     In 1920 he was living at 1st West Street, Box ElderG, and was recorded as John L Sackett, a house carpenter, head of household, aged 37. He rented his home. Living with him were hiis wiife Violet, 35, and their children, Clifford, 12, and Ruth, aged ten. There were also a nephew and niece in the household.6
