John Benjamin Miller, son of John Miller and Elizabeth Sarah "Bessie" Sackett, was born in Peckham, LondonG, in 1886.1,2 He died aged 32 in FranceG on 16 October 19183 and was buried in the Romeries Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, FranceG.4
     In 1891 John was living at 149 Brayard Road, Peckham, Peckham, LondonG, in the household of his parents John and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as John B Miller, aged four and born in Peckham.5
     In 1901 he was living at 149 Brayard Road, PeckhamG, in the household of his parents John and Elizabeth, and was recorded as John B Miller, aged 14 and born in Peckham.6
     John served on the Western Front in France in the First World War as a sergeant in the 9th Battalion East Surrey Regiment. He was killed in action on 16 October 1918.
