Jacob S Sackett, a farmer, son of Werien/Warren J Sackett and Betsey Elizabeth Showers, was born in Jackson County, MichiganG, on 2 January 1840.2 He died aged 72 in Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, CaliforniaG, on 13 October 19122 and was buried in Los Gatos CemeteryG on 15 October 1912.2 He married in Albion, Calhoun County, MichiganG, on 4 July 1867, Hannah Wraight.2
     In 1850 Jacob was living in Concord, Jackson County, MichiganG, in the household of his parents Warren and Betsey, and was recorded in the census as Jacob Sackett, aged ten and born in Michigan.3
