Donald Arnold Sackett, son of Harvey Orin Sackett and Minnie Adelaide Rice, was born in Hallstead, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, on 24 December 18991 and baptized at First Presbyterian Church, HallsteadG, on 7 September 1901.2 He died aged 57 in Great Bend, Susquehanna CountyG, on 15 February 1957.1 He married Mattie L Preston.1
In 1900 Donald was living at Chase Avenue, Great BendG, in the household of his parents Harvey and Minnie, and was recorded in the census as Donald Sackett, aged five months and born in Pennsylvania.3
In 1910 he was living in HallsteadG in the household of his parents Harvey and Minnie, and was recorded as Donald Sackett, aged ten.4
Donald completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 19 and was living at Hallstead, PennsylvaniaG. He was employed as a laborer in a chamois factory at Freux Bend, Susquehanna County. He was recorded on the draft as Donald Albert although he had been baptized Donald Arnold.5
In 1920 he was living at Pine Street, Hallstead, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his parents Harvey and Minnie, and was recorded as Donald Sackett, a factory laborer, aged 20.6
In 1930 he was living at New York Avenue, HallsteadG, and was recorded as Donald A Sackett, a steam shovel engineer, head of household, aged 30. He rented hsi home. Living with him were his wife Mattie, 27, and their children, Harvey, 9, Rex, 7, Jack, 6, and Gloria, aged two.7
