Jael Sackett, daughter of Mark Sackett and Sarah "Sally" Heald, was born in OhioG on 2 March 1838.1 She died aged 71 in Baraboo, Sauk County, WisconsinG, on 9 September 19091 and was buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery (Baraboo Cemetery)G.1 She married first in Dorset, Ashtabula County, OhioG, on 18 December 1853, Rev George W Seager.1 George was born in Phelps, Ontario County, New York StateG, on 18 December 18331 and died aged 31 in Jeffersonville, Jefferson County, IndianaG, on 12 April 1865.1 She married second about 1866, William Soules.2
In 1850 Jael was living in Dorset, Ashtabula CountyG, in the household of her parents Mark and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Jael Sackett, aged twelve and born in Ohio.3
In 1880 she was living in Baraboo, WisconsinG, in the household of her second husband William Soules, 57, a carpenter, and was recorded as Jael Soules, a dressmaker, aged 40. Living with them were their children, Wilmott, 14, Emma, 11, and Carrie, 8, and Jael's children from her first marriage, Lydia, 22, and George, 18 .4
