Francis "Frank" Sackett, plumber and painter, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Bromston, St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in 18371 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 29 January 1837.2 He died aged 65 in ThanetG in 1902.3 He married at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 3 April 1859, Jane Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Thomas Miller.4,5 Jane died aged 57 in ThanetG in 1895.6
     In 1841 Francis was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in ThanetG, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Francis Sackett, aged five and born in Kent.7
     In 1851 he was living at 2 Harbour Street, Broadstairs, KentG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, an errand boy, aged 13 and born in St Peter's, son of Francis Sackett.8
     In 1861 he was living at Claremont Place, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, head of household, married, aged 24, and born in St Peter's. Living with him were his wife Jane, aged 24, and also born in St Peter's, and their children, James (4), and Eliza (6 months.)9
     In 1871 he was living at 12 Bristol Place, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a plumber, head of household, married, aged 34, and born in Bromston, St Peter's. Living with him were his wife Jane, aged 34, and born at Northwood, St Peter's, and their children, James (14), Elizabeth (10), and Alfred (2.)10
     In 1881 he was living at 143 High Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a plumber, head of household, married, aged 44 and born in St Peter's, Kent. Living with him were his wife Jane, 44, children, Elizabeth, 19, and Alfred, 13, and a niece, Louisa Smith, aged five.11
     In 1891 he was living at 143 High Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a painter, head of household, married, aged 54, and born in St Peter's. Living with him were his wife Jane, aged 54, and born in St Peter's, and niece Louisa Smith, 15.12
     In 1901 he was living at 153 Boundary Road, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, painter and decorator, an employer, head of household, a widower aged 64 and born in Peter's.13
     Francis left a will which was proved on 7 April 1902 by his sons James and Alfred. His estate was valued at £289.
