Louis Edgar Ernest Sackett, son of Lyman Belcher Sackett and Caroline Lydia Aldridge, was born in Calcutta, Bengal, IndiaG, on 29 November 1875 and baptized at St John's Church, CalcuttaG, on 19 January 1876.1,2 He married in Moradabad, Bengal, IndiaG, on 17 May 1897, Beatrice Ethel Amelia Matthews, daughter of John Matthews.3 Beatrice was born in about 1877.4
     In 1902 Louis was working as a guard on the Oudh & Rohilkhand Railway.5
