Sarah Ann Jarman, daughter of Thomas Isaac Jarman and Sarah Ann Stokes, was baptized at St George, Ramsgate, KentG, on 25 March 1830.1
     In 1841 Sarah was living at Frederick Place, St Lawrence in ThanetG, in the household of her father Thomas and stepmother Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Sarah Jarman, aged eleven and born in Kent.2
