Hale Bertram Sackett, farmer of Stuart, Florida, son of James Parker Sackett and Mary A Warner, was born in Vermontville, MichiganG, on 26 July 1892.1,2,3 He died aged 82 in Hastings, Barry County, MichiganG, on 10 September 1974.4 He married in Grand Rapids, Kent County, MichiganG, on 24 September 1913, Laura F Church, a school teacher, daughter of H Church and Nellie Dickenson.3 Hale was a clerk at the date of marriage. The marriage was witnessed by Hale's father James and stepmother Mary E who had themselves married in the previous month.3 Laura was born in Vermontville, MichiganG, in 1888.3
     In 1900 Hale was living at Vermontville Township, Eaton County, MichiganG, and was recorded in the census as Hale B Sackett, at school, aged seven, and born July 1892 in Michigan.5
     Hale completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 25 and was a farmer, living at Stuart, Martin County, FloridaG. He served as an army medic during the First World War.6,7
