Bruce Edward Sackett, son of Nathaniel Baldwin Sackett and Mina Gertrude Gerlinger, was born in Glendive, Dawson County, MontanaG, on 8 February 1913.1 He died aged 62 in York, PennsylvaniaG, on 28 March 1975.1
In 1920 Bruce was living at 51st Street, Des Moines, Polk County, IowaG, in the household of his parents Nathaniel and Mina, and was recorded in the census as Bruce E Sackett, aged six and born in Montana.2
In 1930 he was living at Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of his mother Mina, and was recorded as Bruce Sackett, aged 17.3
Bruce served in the US Army during the Second World War. He was a staff sergeant in the 441st Engineer Battalion, entering service at Boston on 26 January 1942 and being discharged at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, on 12 November 1945.1
