Eva Ophelia Sackett, daughter of Jonathan "John" Andrew Sackett and William Ophelia Smith, was born in Marietta, Cass County, TexasG, on 30 October 1904.1 She died aged 101 at Mount Pleasant, Titus County, TexasG, on 21 January 20062 and was buried at Damascus Cemetery, Mount PleasantG, on 23 January 2006.2 She married at Mount PleasantG on 12 November 1923, Grady Denton Hughes.1 Grady was born in Centre, Cherokee County, AlabamaG, on 11 May 1898.1
In 1920 Eva was living at Cason Road, Justice Precinct #5, Titus County, TexasG, in the household of her parents John and Ophelia, and was recorded in the census as Ophelia Sackett, a laborer on the home farm, aged 15.3
