Myrtle Mae "Mertie" Gifford, daughter of Rev Robert Jackson Gifford and Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sackett, was born in PennsylvaniaG on 27 October 18641 and died aged 70 on 9 January 1935.1 She married on 9 April 1885, Philip J Schade.1 He was born in 18622 and died in 1935.2
     In 1880 Myrtle was living in Greene, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her parents Robert and Lizzie, and was recorded in the census as Mertie Gifford, a schoolgirl, aged 15 and born in Pennsylvania.3
