Winfield S Sackett, son of Samuel Sackett and Margarite Campbell, was born in Sangamon County, IllinoisG, on 23 June 1852.1 He died in Sayre, Beckham County, OklahomaG, on 17 February 1936.1 He married in Macon County, MissouriG, on 17 April 1873, Eliza Jane Barnes.1
     In 1880 Winfield was living in Eagle, Macon County, MissouriG, and was recorded in the census as Winfield S Sackett, a farmer, head of household, married, aged 26 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his wife Eliza, aged 21 and born in Missouri, and their children, Nancy, 5, and Etta, aged two.2
     Winfield was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Ten Mile Township, Macon County, MissouriG, on 25 June 1890.3
