Alan Edward Sackett, son of Alfred Sackett and Fanny Skelton, was born in Croydon, SurreyG, on 20 July 19121,2 and baptized at St Mary's Church, Sanderstead, SurreyG, on 20 October 1912.3 He married in CroydonG in 1939, Katherina L Lippert.4,5,6
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Alan was a commercial traveller, living at 49 Longlands Avenue, Carshalton, SurreyG. A redacted name in the record was presumably that of his wife Katherina.7
     Alan and his mother Fanny proved Alan's father Alfred's will on 15 February 1950. His estate was valued at £1,599.8
