Margaret Doris Sackett, daughter of Richard John Sackett and Alma Horwood, was born in West Ham, EssexG, on 4 July 19071 and baptized at Harrow Green, EssexG, on 24 July 1907.2
     In 1921 Margaret was living at Tawns Fruit Shed, Tydd Gote, Wisbech, CambridgeshireG, in the household of Annie Rothwell Davison, and was recorded in the census as Margaret Doris Sackett, a visitor, aged 13.3
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Margaret was a buffet attendant, living at 56 Holloway Road, Leyton, EssexG, with her parents Richard and Alma.4
