Claude Sackett, son of Henry Sackett and Jane Tansley, was born in West Ham, EssexG, on 12 April 19031 and baptized at St Mary, Plaistow, EssexG, on 5 November 1903.2 He married in West HamG in 1927, Doris Barnard.3,4
     In 1911 Claude was living at 106 Lower Road, Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, LondonG, and was recorded in the census as Claud Sackett, a schoolboy, aged eight and born in Canning Town. He was with his mother Jane/Jenny as a visitor in the household of Thomas Walker.5
