Emerson R Sackett, florist, son of Coridon Ralph Sackett and Camelia Maria Vrooman, was born in Oswego, New York StateG, on 24 June 1863.1 He died aged 83 at 900 N Main Street, Fostoria, Seneca County, OhioG, on 11 January 19472 and was buried at Fountain Cemetery, FostoriaG.2,3 He married in Seneca CountyG on 21 June 1900, Laura Imber, daughter of Anthony Imber and Marie Tye.4 Laura was born in Berwick, Franklin County, OhioG, on 15 June 1881.5,6,1 She died aged 92 in FostoriaG in November 19737 and was buried at Fountain CemeteryG.3
     In 1870 Emerson was living in Jackson, Seneca CountyG, in the household of his parents Coridon and Camelia, and was recorded in the census as Emmerson Sackett, aged eight and born in New York State.8
     In 1880 he was living in FostoriaG in the household of his parents Coridon and Camelia, and was recorded as Emerson Sackett, aged 17, at school.9
     In 1900 he was living at North Main Street, FostoriaG, in the household of his parents Coridon and Camelia, and was recorded as Emerson R Sacket, a florist, aged 37.10
     In 1910 he was living at North Main Street, FostoriaG, and was recorded as Emerson R Sackett, a florist, head of household, aged 45. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Laura, 30, and their children, Mabel, 8, and Ralph, aged five. There were also a male boarder and a female servant in the household.11
     In 1920 he was living at North Main Street, FostoriaG, and was recorded as Emmerson Sacket, a florist, head of household, aged 52 [56]. Living with him were his wife Laura, 38, and their children, Mabel, 17, and Ralph, aged 14. There was also a female servant in the household.12
     In 1930 he was living at North Main Street, FostoriaG, and was recorded as Emmerson Sacket, manager of a floral company, head of household, aged 65. Living with him were his wife Laura, 48, and their son Ralph, 25. Also in the household was Laura's brother William Imber, 54.13
     Emerson and Laura were listed in the Fostoria City Directory from 1922. They were living at 814 North Main Street, FostoriaG. He was the proprietor of the Fostoria Floral Company. Laura continued to be listed as his widow from 1947, by when the company had become known as Sackett's Greenhouse, now run by their son Ralph.14,15
