Benjamin Franklin Sackitt, son of Chauncey B Sackett and Lura Jane Crowell, was born in Bellevue, Eaton County, MichiganG, on 21 November 1888.1 He died aged 73 on 9 November 1962.2 He married first in Bellevue, Eaton County, MichiganG, on 25 November 1909, Mable DeMond.1 Mable was born in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, MichiganG, on 14 April 1894.1 Benjamin married second in BellevueG on 13 December 1915, Bessie E Smith, daughter of Robert E Smith and Etha Bryans.2 Bessie was born in Barry County, MichiganG, on 31 December 1892.3 She died aged 71 in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, MichiganG, on 25 August 1964.3
     In 1930 Benjamin was living in Emmett, Calhoun County, MichiganG, and was recorded in the census as Benjamin F Sackitt, a pipe fitter in a factory, head of household, aged 41. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Bessie, 37, and their children, Everett, 13, Wilford, 8, Elizabeth, 7, and Clifford, aged two.4

, 71, of 191 East Ave., N. died yesterday afternoon in a local hospital. She had been in ill health since last September. She was born Dec. 31, 1892, in Barry County, daughter of Robert E. and Etha (Bryans) Smith. She was married to Frank B. Sackitt Dec. 13, 1915, in Bellevue. The couple moved to Battle Creek in 1920. Mr. Sackitt, a foreman for the Post Division of General Foods Corp., died Nov. 9, 1962. She was a member of Central Christian Church and Women's Benefit of America. Survivors include two sons, Everett C. Sackitt of 12741 S. Drive N. and Wilford E. Sackitt of Grand Haven; a step-daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Martha) Wells of Mt. Clemens; a sister, Mrs. Mattie McCoy of Edgemont, Calif; a brother, Richard Smith of Union City; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
