Fred Sackett, son of James Arthur "Art" Sackett and Lula Dell "Lou" McCool, was born in Crossfield, Alberta, CanadaG, on 7 July 1913. He died aged 66 in Didsbury, AlbertaG, on 27 February 1980 and was buried at Crossfield Cemetery, Alberta, CanadaG.1,2,3 He married on 1 December 1949, Lillian Anna Grainger, daughter of Albert Grainger and Lillian ___. Lillian was born in Canmore, AlbertaG, on 15 January 1911.3 She died aged 86 in Didsbary, AlbertaG, on 31 December 1997 and was buried at Crossfield CemeteryG on 5 January 1998.2,3
     In 1921 Fred was living in Rosebud Municipality, Calgary, Alberta, CanadaG, in the household of his parents James and Lula, and was recorded in the census as Fred Sackett, aged eight and born in Alberta.4

SACKETT—Mrs. Lillian Sackett of Didsbury, Alberta, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at the age of 86 years. Lillian was born January 15, 1911 in Canmore, Alberta. She is survived by her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Lorraine Sackett, Russell and Alice Sackett, Debbie Sackett. She will be greatly missed by her seven grandchildren, Cheryl (Joe) Taks, Tara, Marsha, Bryce, Lesley, Bradley and Mark Sackett; three great-grandchildren, James, Jordan and Braelyn Taks. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Fred Sackett in 1980 and two sons, Ivan and Glenn. A private family interment will take place on Monday, January 5, 1998 at the Crossfield Cemetery. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, January 5, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church (South), 2025, 20 Avenue, Didsbury, Alberta with Pastor Richard Pahl officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the charity of one's choice. Mountain View Funeral Chapels, Didsbury, entrusted with arrangements.
