Alfred Sackett, son of George Edward Sackett and Katherine Annie "Kate" Cook, was born in Fulham, London^G, on 5 June 1900^1,2 and baptized at St Andrew's Church, Fulham^G, on 1 July 1900.³ He died aged 66 in Chelsea, London^G, in 1966.⁴ He married at St Augustine Church, Fulham, London^G, on 8 March 1919, Ellen Burns, daughter of Edward Burns.^5,6,7 Ellen was born on 18 June 1900² and died aged 51 in Fulham^G in 1951.⁸
     In 1901 Alfred was living at 39 Hannell Road, St Peter's, Fulham, London^G, in the household of his parents George and Kate, and was recorded in the census as Alfred Sackett, aged one and born in Fulham.⁹
     In 1911 he was living at 39 Delaford Street, Fulham^G, in the household of his parents George and Kate, and was recorded as Alfred Sackett, a schoolboy, aged ten and born in Fulham.¹⁰
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Alfred and Ellen were living at 219A Stephendale Road, Fulham, London^G. Alfred was a builder's foreman. Their son Alfred was living with them. Five other residents whose names are withheld in the record would have been their other children.¹¹
