George Sackett, son of John Jeremiah William Sackett and Anne Ward, was born in Brighton, SussexG, on 13 December 1870.1,2 He died aged 80 in Fulham, LondonG, in 1951.3 He married in FulhamG in 1891, Mary Ann Bradford.4 She was born in Westminster, LondonG, on 27 March 1869.2
     In 1871 George was living at 6 Montague Place, Brighton, SussexG, in the household of his parents John and Annie, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, aged four months and born in Brighton.5
     In 1881 he was living at 18 Kramer Mews, London, MiddlesexG, in the household of his parents John and Ann, and was recorded as George Sackett, aged nine, and born in Brighton.6
     In 1901 he was living at 1 St Peter's Terrace, St Peter's, Fulham, LondonG, in the household of his father William Sackett, and was recorded as George Sackett, a cab driver (groom), married, aged 30, and born in Brighton. Living with him was his wife Mary, 33.7
     In 1911 he was living at 42 Orbain Road, FulhamG, and was recorded as George Sackett, a cab driver, head of household, married, aged 42 and born in Brighton. Living with him were his wife Mary, 43, and their children, George, 10, Annie, 7, and Bill, aged four.8

     In 1921 he was living at 87 St Olaf Road, FulhamG, and was recorded as George Sackett, a taxi driver, head of household, aged 52. Living with him were his wife Mary, 53, and their children, George, 20, and Annie, aged 17.9
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, George and Mary were living at 87 St Olaf Road, FulhamG. George was a taxi driver. Their son George and daughter-in-law Margaret were living with them.10
