Jane Lavinia Sackett, daughter of Samuel John Sackett and Mary Ann Gardner, was born in Newington, SurreyG, in 1861.1 She married at St Mark's Church, Kennington, SurreyG, on 26 November 1881, Charles Garrett Longman, a shirt maker, son of Charles Garrett Longman.2,3
     In 1871 Jane was living at 24 Saville Place, Lambeth Walk, Lambeth, SurreyG, in the household of her parents Samuel and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Jane Lavinia Sackett, aged 10, and born in Newington.4
