Rose May Sackett, teacher, daughter of Morris Newton Sackett and Flora Ann Leonard, was born in Bay City, Bay County, MichiganG, in about 1872.1 She married first in Grand Traverse County, MichiganG, in 1898, Emmet A Armstrong.2 She married second in Traverse City, Grand Traverse CountyG, on 28 July 1908, George Thomas Brooks, a farmer, son of Fitch Brooks and Nancy J Vallean.3 George was born in OhioG in about 1862.
     In 1880 Rose was living in Mayfield, Grand Traverse County, MichiganG, in the household of her parents Morris and Flora, and was recorded in the census as Rose M Sackett, aged eight and born in Michigan.4
