Robert Bernard Sackett, son of Henry "Harry" Sackett and Louisa Elizabeth Mathison, was born in Rainham, EssexG, on 3 April 19051,2,3 and baptized at Dagenham, EssexG, on 28 May 1905.4 He died aged 40 in Romford, EssexG, on 15 July 19455,6 and was buried at Rainham Cemetery, EssexG, on 19 July 1945.7 He married at Romford, EssexG, in 1926, Elsie May Fynn, daughter of ___ Fynn and ___ Chiddicks.8,9 Elsie was born in RomfordG in 190510 and died aged 79 in the Barking & Dagenham registration district, EssexG, in January 1985.11
     Robert Sackett served in the Second World War as a sapper in the Royal Engineers. He died in service.
     In 1911 Robert was living at 6 Rosedale Terrace, RainhamG, in the household of his parents Henry and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Robert Sackett, a schoolboy, aged six and born in Rainham.12
     In 1921 he was living at 1 Cecil Terrace, New Road, Dagenham, EssexG, in the household of his parents Henry and Louisa, and was recorded as Robert Bernard Sackett, aged 16.13
     Administration of Robert's estate was granted on 12 December 1945 to his widow Elsie. His estate was valued at £554.14
