Edward Barton Sackett, real estate dealer, grain broker, son of Stephen Sackett and Rachel Barton, was born in New York StateG on 17 May 1832.1,2 He died aged 85 in Chicago, IllinoisG, on 10 April 1918.3 He married in about 1867, Anna K Hill.1,4 Anna was born in WisconsinG in November 1847.4 She died aged 76 at home at 672 Sheridan Road, ChicagoG, on 2 March 1923.5
In 1900 Edward was living at Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IllinoisG, and was recorded in the census as Edward B Sackett, a broker, head of household, aged 68. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Anna, 52, and their son Barton, aged 16. There was also a female servant in the household.6
In 1910 he was living at St Severance Avenue, ChicagoG, and was recorded as Edward B Sackett, a real estate dealer, head of household, aged 78. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Anna, 63, and their son Barton, aged 27.7
