James Linn Sackett, son of James Lemuel Sackett and Margaret A Mustard, was born in Riga, Monroe County, New York StateG, on 6 July 1896.1 He died aged 70 in Churchville, Monroe CountyG, in June 19672 and was buried at Wheatland Baptist Cemetery, Belcoda, Monroe CountyG.3 He married in about 1921, Mary E Carpenter.4 Mary was born in New York StateG in about 1904.4
     In 1900 James was living in Riga, Monroe County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents James and Margaret, and was recorded in the census as Jim L Sackett, aged three and born in New York.5
     In 1910 he was living at Brady Road, Riga, Monroe County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents James and Margaret, and was recorded as James L Sackett, aged 13.6
     James completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1918. He was aged 21, an employed farmer working for his father, and was living at Churchville, Monroe CountyG.7
     In 1920 he was living at Emmons Road, RigaG, in the household of his parents James and Margaret, and was recorded as James L Sackett, a farmer on the home farm, single, aged 23.8
     In 1930 he was living at Hosmer Road, RigaG, and was recorded as James L Sackett, a self-employed farmer, head of household, aged 33. He rented his home. (James was also the census enumerator for his neighborhood). Living with him were his wife Mary, 25, and their children, Edna, 8, and Frances, aged four.9
