- The record in The Sacketts of America of a daughter, Sarah, who died on 6 February 1873 is taken to have been in error, the notice in the 10 February issue of the New York Evening Post stating that it was a son, Sheldon, who died in that month. The day of death was given as Sunday, which would have been 9 February 1873.
