Edith S Sackett, daughter of George Henry Sackett and Sarah Sweetser Sheldon, was born on 29 November 1861.1 She died aged 93 in Providence, Rhode IslandG, on 2 November 19552 and was buried at Swan Point Cemetery, ProvidenceG.2 She was unmarried.

[Edith Sackett] studied art in New York, Brooklyn and Paris, and has been teaching drawing and color in relation to costume, at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, N. Y., since 1897. In 1892 Miss Sackett became a member of The Mother Church Scientists, of Boston, Mass.
