Thomas Sackett, son of George Sackett and Sophia ___, was born in Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 16 May 18091 and baptized at St Mary Magdalen, BermondseyG, on 11 June 1809.1
In 1841 Thomas was living at The Pryory, Charlton next Woolwich, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, an assistant schoolmaster, aged 25 [rounded down] and born not in Kent. His older brother George, 35 [rounded down] was also at the Pryory as the schoolmaster. Others at the same address were Caroline Fielder, of independent means, aged 50; three female servants; one male servant; and seven pupils.2
