Henry Thomas Sackett, son of George Sackett and Sophia ___, was born in Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 27 October 18021 and baptized at St Mary Magdalen, BermondseyG, on 19 November 1802.1 He died aged 50 in St Olave Southwark, SurreyG, in 1853.2 He married in Newark-upon-Trent, NottinghamshireG, in 1839, Sarah Kelk, daughter of William Kelk and Sarah ___.3,4 Sarah (the daughter) was born in NewarkG in 18075 and baptized there on 1 September 1807.5 She died aged 77 at home at Cherry Holt Lane, Newark-upon-TrentG, on 22 February 18856,7 and was buried at Newark CemeteryG on 25 February 1885.8
     In 1841 Henry was living at Vauxhall Walk, Lambeth, SurreyG, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, aged 35 [rounded down] and born in Surrey. Living with him was his wife Sarah.9
     In 1871 Henry's widow Sarah was living at 18 Cherry Holt Lane, Newark, NottinghamshireG, and was recorded in the census as Sarah Sackett, professor of music and language, head of household, a widow, aged 63 and born in Newark.10
     In 1881 she was living at Cherry Holt Lane, Newark, NottinghamshireG, and was recorded as Sarah Sackett, professor of music, head of household, a widow aged 73 and born in Newark.11
     Sarah's will, made in Newark-upon-TrentG, was proved in Nottingham on 20 May 1885. Her personal estate was valued at £930. The sole executor was her sister Mary Paling.12
