Janie Leyburn Sackett, daughter of Charles Henry Sackett and Louisa Mercer Moseley, was born in VirginiaG in January 1879.1,2 She married Alexander West Mosby.1
In 1880 Janie was living in Clover Hill Magisterial District, Appomattox County, VirginiaG, in the household of her parents Charles and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Janie L Sackett, aged one and born in Virginia.3
In 1900 she was living at Filmon Street, LynchburgG, in the household of her widowed father Charles, and was recorded as Janie L Sackett, aged 21 and born in Virginia.4
In 1910 she was living at Harrison Street, LynchburgG, in the household of her husband Alexander, 36, an estate agent, and was recorded as Janie L Mosby, aged 31 and born in Virginia. Living with them were their children, Alexander, 8, Charles, 4, and Willis, aged one, and Janie's widowed father Charles H Sackett, 65. Also in the household were two female servants: a nurse and a cook.5
