Dr Walter George Sackett, son of Walter C G Sackett and Emma L Hagey, was born in Sterling, Whiteside County, IllinoisG, on 5 July 1880.1,2 He died aged 88 in Lansing, Ingham County, MichiganG, on 16 September 1968 and was buried at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, Larimer County, ColoradoG.2 He married in Oxford, Granville County, North CarolinaG, on 24 June 1905, Lilian Margaret Ferguson. Lilian was born in Reidsville, Rockingham County, North CarolinaG, on 14 September 1882 and died aged 78 at Fort Collins, ColoradoG, on 1 September 1961.2
     Walter completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was married, aged 38, and was living at 120 West Laurel Street, Fort Collins, Larimer County, ColoradoG. He was a bacteriologist at the Colorado Experimental Station.3
