Marion Josephine Sackett, daughter of Hon Martin Russell Sackett and Marion J Cowles, was born in New York StateG on 7 October 1888.1 She married in Prescott, Grenville County, Ontario, CanadaG, on 13 April 1909, Thomas Frederick Murdock, son of Thomas B Murdock and Helen McCarthy.2 Thomas was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaG, on 17 June 1888.3,4,5
In 1900 Marion was living at South Main Street, Gouverneur, St Lawrence County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Martin and Marion, and was recorded in the census as Marion C Sackett, a student, aged eleven and born in New York.6
In 1910 she was living at Ford Street, Ogdensburg, St Lawrence County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Martin and Marion, and was recorded as Marion Sackett, aged 21 (although listed under her maiden name, she was recorded as having been married for one year.)7
In 1921 she was living at 179½ Waller Street, Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaG, in the household of her husband Thomas, 33, a marine engineer, and was recorded as Marion Josephine Murdock, aged 33. Living with them were their children, John, 12, Thomas, 11, Rita, 10, and Paul Sackett, aged four.8
