William Cecil Sackett

William Cecil Sackett, son of Frances Sarah "Fanny" Sackett, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, on 31 August 19021,2 and baptized at St Paul's Church, RamsgateG, on 5 November 1902.3 He died aged 90 in Thanet, KentG, on 25 December 1992.4,5 He married in 1952, Mabel Alice Young. Mabel was born on 25 November 19176 and died in Thanet, KentG, in July 1989.7
     In 1911 he was living at 6 Belmont Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as William Sackett, aged eight. He was living with his mother Frances in the household of his step-grandfather James Hunter.8
     In 1921 he was living at Belmont, Minster, KentG, and was recorded as William Sackett, horseman, a servant, aged 18. He was living with his mother Fanny who was housekeeper to Sidney Setterfield, a farmer.9
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, William was a tractor driver, living at Plumstone Farm, Eastry, KentG, in the household of Sidney Setterfield, a farmer.10
     William left a will which was proved in Brighton, SussexG, on 26 January 1993.5
